This year, Japan External Trade Organization, Hochiminh Office (JETRO) and Investment & Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) together with Reed Tradex organized the 5th Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) to dedicate the show of parts and accessories. This is an opportunity to efficiently seek business partners for both Japanese and Vietnamese manufacturers. In addition, the incorporation of the other exhibitions, “METALEX Vietnam” and “NEPCON Vietnam”, offered local parts makers a good chance to meet new buyers while keeping abreast of the latest innovations and for international investors to meet the right suppliers. Some of the main purposes are:

“Vietnam is surely a potential market. But the supporting industries in Vietnam, which is indispensable for industrial growth, still has not grown enough compared with other countries in Asia. So, we have been assisting to embody and enhance the supporting industries. The aim of this exhibition is to help Japanese manufacturers to meet new potential business partners in Vietnam in regard to sourcing of industrial parts and to connect their business to Vietnamese parts makers,” said Mr. Yasuzumi Hirotaka, Managing Director of JETRO HCM office. Truly, The 5th Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Ho Chi Minh City was an exceptional platform to stimulate business and drive the supporting industries in Vietnam ahead. 53 Japanese manufacturers exhibited parts and accessories that they wanted to buy or seek subcontractors for in Vietnam, while 50 Vietnamese parts makers including Cathaco exhibited parts and accessories that they wanted to sell. Selling and buying requirements was continuously reciprocated from 4th to 6th October, 2012. Cathaco team worked hard on preparing and decorating and welcomed a lot of visitors to Cathaco Booth No. V09 to interact and adopt inquiries, thoughts and experiences. As a result, Cathaco collected a lot of contacts, relationships, potential partners and even contractings.

Furthermore, “METALEX Vietnam” and “NEPCON Vietnam”, which were co-located, brought such immense benefits in ways that were beyond our expectations at the show. Together, 700 brands of technology and machinery from 25 countries, as well as Japanese buyers and Vietnamese makers created this year’s most dynamic business platform for discovering what they need to upgrade their production and maximize their business opportunities. Some of interesting activities of exhibitions were “Business Matchmaking”, “Hand Soldering Championship”, “Meet the amazing NAO – the Intelligent Humanoid Robot” and a lot of Seminars & Technology Presentations on such topic as “Upgrading Your Production”, “Sourcing Procedure” and “New Mechanical Engineering Knowledge for Production Line”, “Engineer master Class”, etc. Therefore, we can say this was the first time ever in Vietnam, 3 mega exhibitions were organized as a giant event in which Cathaco took part.
